| Midvale, UT - 04.02.2002 - Phonex Corporation Corporation, a world leader in
Power Line Carrier (PLC) voice and data communication devices, today announced that Mark Massey has joined the
company as vice president of sales and marketing.
Massey will be responsible for all Phonex sales efforts, including partner and reseller agreements and relationships.
In addition, Massey will manage all sales and marketing personnel for the company and direct the company’s marketing
and promotional efforts.
"Mark comes to us with a proven sales track record," said John Knab, Phonex president and chief executive officer.
"He brings a wealth of corporate partnering success and will be instrumental in leading our sales force as we
continue with the launch of NeverWire 14, our award winning powerline networking product."
Massey joins Phonex Corporation after serving as the director of global alliances at Cable & Wireless, where he managed
the overall Cisco Systems alliance relationship. Prior to his role with Cable & Wireless, Massey worked at Cisco Systems
as an account manager for WorldCom, where he grew sales from $6 million in fiscal 1999 to $35 million in fiscal 2000.
Previously, Massey held various positions at 3Com and US Robotics in the Network Systems Divisions. Massey received a
bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, and a master’s degree in business administration from
Averett University, in Danville, Virginia.
Phonex Corporation also recently named Paul Willes as the company’s chief technical officer. Willes previously served as
the company’s director of engineering. The company also promoted Roger Moore from program manager to vice president
projects/engineering, and Tony Searle to director of operations.
