CES/Las Vegas, NV - 01.07.1999 - Phonex Corporation, developer of the Easy Hang
Up™ anti-telemarketing device, announced today the next product in its line of Easy Phone Accessories with an
inexpensive on-hold music device which lets consumers place a call on hold with the push of a button. The new Easy
Hold With Music™ is the easiest way to bring continuous listening enjoyment to those placing calls to a home or
home office. At a suggested retail price of $19.99, Easy Hold With Music affordably blocks out background noise of
busy families, offering a simple, yet professional way to manage home or home office telephone calls.
Easy Hold With Music is a compact device which connects directly to any telephone and can be installed in seconds.
Unlike other on-hold music systems, it does not require installation of additional radio, CD players, or stereo
equipment, and is phone line powered so it does not need batteries. When a call is received, consumers put the caller
on hold with the push of a button, then replace the receiver. A popular tune plays continuously until the call is
picked up. Calls can be answered from any phone in the house, regardless of where Easy Hold With Music is located. An
in-use light indicates when on-hold music is playing. Easy Hold With Music is available in two models. Consumers can
choose between the popular favorite "Music Box Dancer", or a second model which features the holiday favorite "Frosty
the Snowman". The product includes a six-inch phone cord and adhesive attachment.
Easy Hold With Music has a suggested retail price of $19.99. It will be demonstrated at the Consumer Electronics Show
in Las Vegas, January 7-10, 1999 and be available for general purchase in the first quarter of 1999 through catalogs
and retailers. CES attendees may place orders for the product at the show.
